How to Plan for a Kitchen Remodeling or Renovation Project

May 31st, 2008 by Administrator

Deciding to remodel your kitchen is one of the best investments you can make. The kitchen is where people spend most of their waking hours while at home. It is where they cook, eat, and gather with the family. It is also where they talk and share ideas about the latest trends and fashions. Consequently, it is not surprising that the kitchen would be on the top of the list of home improvement projects. Having an up to date, modern kitchen, allows people not only to function better with new cabinets and appliances, but also enables them to feel that they are indeed living in modern society.

Kitchen remodeling however can be a very messy and disruptive home improvement project. And the length of the disruption can take as long as a month or more, even when well planned out.

To mitigate the disruption of a kitchen renovation project, planning is absolutely essential. The first item to consider is whether you will do it yourself, or hire a general contractor. Regardless of what route, a homeowner needs to first sketch out some kitchen remodeling ideas to ensure the kitchen design and costs will meet their targeted functional requirements and budget. If a general contractor is to be hired these initial sketches will be helpful in communicating your kitchen remodeling plans and ideas.

During the planning phase, the homeowner should identify the main objectives of the future kitchen. They should research the latest products on the market including: cabinets, countertops, appliances, and flooring. If the kitchen is more than 5 years old, there are a lot of new products to choose from. For example, Silestone is quickly surpassing Granite and Corian, as the premier countertop surface as it is extremely hard, elegant in appearance, and comes in many colors. For cabinets, the trend appears to be towards lighter colors as they help the appearance of lightening and enlarging a room. In regards to appliances, the Stainless Steel look appears to be in. And for flooring, vinyl or wood is the trend. Tile looks nice, however, it can be unforgiving in a room where things tend to get dropped. In addition, if there is no radiant heating planned for the floor, tile has the tendency to feel cold on the feet.

It is also important to consider any structural changes to the existing kitchen area. Is a new kitchen island desired, or will walls or doorways need to be moved or installed?

When developing your kitchen remodeling plan, it is important to note that professional kitchen designers like to think of a triangle when starting a new kitchen design. The three points of the triangle include the Sink, Refrigerator, and Stove. Make sure your sketches consider this, as it will ensure a good functional kitchen. Also, consider adequate walking areas and space for an eating area, such as a table or center island, with applicable space included for chairs. I would suggest that the walking areas be wide enough for two people to walk through at the same time.

The sketches should also include dimensions, as these will be needed when meeting with the general contractor or kitchen designer. Finally, consider where the existing outlets and power for the stove are, and assess if additional outlets will be needed or old outlets relocated.

Disneyland May be Thought of as “The Happiest Place on Earth” But Where is the Alcohol?

May 31st, 2008 by Administrator

Growing up in the Midwest, I was a frequent visitor to the theme park, and even in my youth I heard whispered rumors about a secret restaurant built by Walt Disney above Pirates of the Caribbean. It was ultra elite, I was told, and only millionaires and movie stars were allowed inside. My youthful imagination went into overdrive. Disneyland was my idea of a garden of earthly delights, and if there was a secret place inside that garden so special that the general public was denied accessthen that place had to be out of this world.

An Invitation into the Inner Sanctum

Over the years I queried people about this restaurant, getting a wide variety of responses. Some said it was an urban legend. Others said that it was an eatery for Freemasons and masters of industry. Eventually I met a fellow named Tom who worked for W.E.D. (Walter Elias Disney Corporation) in the capacity of “imagineer.” When I inquired about the restaurant, he unhesitatingly said, “Oh, you mean Club 33.”

So, it was true. It really existed. It’s also true that Walt was a Master Mason of the 33rd Degree, the highest you may rise, which is why I believe it was named Club 33 (there are many other theories). Tom regaled me with strange and humorous anecdotes about the club and, noting my obvious enthusiasm, he eventually asked, “Hey, would you like to go there?”

Yes, I immediately informed him, I would.

At the time (1980) reservations had to be made months in advance, to allow for the attention to detail that made every guest feel as if he were a god entering Valhalla. When you were led to your seat, a shiny black book of matches sat at your place setting with your name embossed upon it in silver. Though this may not be your idea of Valhalla, it’s undeniably highfalutin’ and I’ve never heard of another restaurant to go to this extreme in courtesy.

Secrets of the Pirates

Since the entrance to Club 33 is secreted away near the exit to Pirates of the Caribbean, we went on the ride prior to visiting the restaurant, a ritual I’ve repeated to this day. As a student of the occult, I’ve come to appreciate the Masonic influences of Disney’s rides. Pirates of the Caribbean in particular recapitulates the symbology of the ancient mystery religions. First, you are warned to turn back by a talking skull warning that death may be imminent. Then you descend into a fantastic underworld. After enduring various trials and tribulations, you experience absolute destruction and finally ascend into the light. What better prelude could there be to entering the fabled Club 33?

Exiting the ride, you’ll wander onto a faux New Orleans street named Rue Royale and to your left, behind an apparently fake door with the innocuous marker “33″ is the entrance. Even if you’ve been to the club a dozen times and think you remember clearly where it is, you can miss it. It seems almost invisible. For good reason. Disney’s imagineers have scoured the color spectrum and discovered the shades least noticeable to the human eye. The color which ranks the highest they call “No-See-Um Green.” If you look around the park with a critical eye, you’ll find many things hiding behind this shade, including the door of Club 33.

Beyond the Green Door

In the old days there was a secret panel near the door concealing an intercom that would allow you to get buzzed in. Nowadays you need a keycard to access the doors to Valhalla.

Once inside, you’ll enter a small antechamber where a hostess verifies your reservation then directs you to an antiquarian 19th century elevator that will lift you to an eatery that replicates the fineries of a bygone age. When first I dined here, a harpsichordist played Mozart tunes. The club as a whole possesses an understated sense of elegance.

Stepping off the elevator into the Gallery, you’ll find a wooden telephone booth with leaded glass panels identical to the the one used in the Disney movie “The Happiest Millionaire.” Other interesting-looking pieces of antique furniture abound and the walls are decorated with a vast array of original (and undoubtably invaluable) works of art by Disney artists.

The Gallery leads you to Lounge Alley, the buffet room for the Main Dining Room and the Trophy Room. The Main Dining Room is an elegant remembrance of the Napoleonic era. Lit by three glimmering chandeliers, fragranted by fresh flowers and populated with antique bronzes, it emanates warmth and dignity.

The Trophy Room is a bit less formal. Wood-paneled and rustically refined, it brings to mind the den of a 19th century sportsman of no small means. There was a time when it was less refined and much more macho, with big game trophies, Fijian war clubs and even a mastodon tusk adorning the walls. But alas, they went the way of the wooly mammoth and were replaced by sketches and paintings. A few birds remain, notably an animitronic turkey vulture lurking in a corner. Walt envisioned the vulture conversing with guests (microphones were planted in the chandeliers to collect personal information) while they dined, but he died before he could put his strange and brilliant plan into operation. Which is a pity. What could be more exciting than, while digging into a steak, having a mechanical vulture start hassling you for a cut of the action. And, what’s more, the cheeky bastard would hassle you by name.

And as you might expect, the food is fabulous. The pasta bar dishes out everything from gnocchi to fettuccine al pesto, cooked to order. There’s beef briquette, chicken fricassee, and mushrooms stuffed with crab meat. It’s a flabbergasting buffet featuring every delicacy a condemned man (so long as he was a man of taste) might wish to enjoy as his last meal.
Above and beyond all this gastronomic majesty, of course, is the restaurant’s greatest allureit’s the only place in the Magical Kingdom where alcohol is served.

Drinking in Disneyland

When I stopped in a year ago, my pals and I waded through several bottles of a very nice chardonnay before our meals were finished. Bottles of wine start at around fifty bucks a pop, but how can put a price on the experience of getting drunk in Disneyland? We then proceeded to some serious drinking. The club assembles an excellent martini and I lost count of how many I consumed before we realized the restaurant was empty save for us gin guzzlers. We’d arrived at noon and it was presently dark outside. The tab was twice as much as I pay for a month’s rent, but hey I was in the happiest place on earth and I know what makes me happy.

We stumbled out into the warm California night and made our way to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. This was always a favorite of mine, another simulated occult rite of death and resurrection. During the ride, you are nearly killed a half of a dozen times, consummating with a head-on collision with a train, then ultimately end up in Hell before being cast back out into the park. Under any circumstances the ride is a laugh riot. After having consumed four hundred bucks worth of gin and chardonnay, it’s damn near a religious experience.

And so it was with the other rides in Fantasyland. In Snow White’s Scary Adventure, the last tableau you see is the witch about to launch a gigantic boulder down a path to crush the hapless seven dwarfs. Immediately afterwards you travel through a set of doors and note a huge sign reading “And they lived happily ever after.” This odd mix of death and happiness pervades Disneyland. There are 999 happy ghosts in the Haunted Mansion, but “there’s always room for one more.” “Hurry back!” the little wraith at the ride’s end entreats visitors, “and be sure to bring your death certificate.” It’s all too easy to imagine that this morbid humor is indicative of a more innocent age in which people could still smile about death and destruction, but even the newest rides are imbued with a sense of the macabre. “Temple of Doom,” as the name indicates, is one such example. It’s a roller-coaster ride past a fiery abyss, death-doting Kali worshippers and mountains of human skulls. If you’re looking for a celebration of mass death and fetishistic danger, look no further than “the happiest place on earth.”

Penetrating the Green Door

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to visit Club 33 about a dozen times. I say lucky because I’ve always had the great fortune of knowing people who knew people who could get me in. I say great fortune because the rules governing access to the club have become increasingly stringent. Disney employees, such as Tom the Imagineer, are no longer allowed in. I recently met a high-level Disney employee whose jaw dropped when I mentioned I had reservations at the club. “I’ve worked for Disney for over ten years,” he exclaimed, “and I’ve never been allowed inside.”

If you’re Michael Jackson or a high-powered CEO, the red carpet is rolled out for you at Club 33. If not, there’s a $7,500 membership fee plus $2,250 in annual dues. There’s only room for 400 members on the club’s rolls, so you can expect a three-year waiting list.

Despite the obvious appeal such elitist and exclusionary tactics lend to the club, it’s sort of a shame. Disneyland and drinking go together like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

In a better world, they’d serve daiquiris as you waited to get into the Enchanted Tiki Room, and Bloody Marys while you languished in the line for the Haunted Mansion. Disney’s rationale for not serving booze in the park is that it might detract from the wholesome atmosphere. Which is ridiculous, of course. What could be more wholesome than a belt of rum while watching crazed pirates raping, pillaging, and burning a village to the ground; a shot of schnapps while a vengeful witch attempts to crush dwarves with a boulder; and what better than a mint julep to make a trip through Hell more pleasant?

All You Want To Know About Unsecured Loans

May 30th, 2008 by Administrator

So many times, people run out of money. They require money urgently for one thing or the other. One of the most convenient ways to get money is to ask friends and relatives for help. If you cannot get money this way, you have to look out for an alternative source. There are many people who have surplus of money. Such people, called lenders, lend money to those who are in a need for it. People who take out a loan are called borrowers.

This service is not free of cost. Borrowers have to repay the loan along with an additional amount known as interest. The interest is charged as a certain percentage of the loan amount. This percentage is known as the rate of interest and depends upon several factors. The most important factor is the type of loan.

Loans are of two types - secured and unsecured. The rates of interest on unsecured loans are higher than the rates on secured loans. Although unsecured loans carry high rates of interest, yet they are very popular among borrowers. This is because there is no need to put up a security to obtain an unsecured loan, whereas secured loans require a property as a security. Thus, the lender does not have any claim over the borrower’s property in case of an unsecured loan. Another benefit of an unsecured loan is that once your loan application gets approved, you get the loan very quickly.

There are several methods of repayment of unsecured loans. You may repay the loan in the form of installments at regular intervals. Each installment comprises the principal as well as the interest elements of the loan amount. In another method of loan repayment, only interest is paid at regular intervals and the original loan amount is repaid at the end of the loan period. In a third method, the entire loan amount, along with its interest, is repaid at the end of the loan period.

Merger and Acquisition - A Strategy for Corporate Growth

May 29th, 2008 by Administrator

Two companies that are recognized as among the best at making successful acquisitions are General Electric and Cisco Systems. These companies have been star performers in growing shareholder value. The core principal that runs through almost every acquisition is integration. Over the past 10 years Cisco Systems has acquired 81 companies. Their stock price is up a remarkable 1300%. GE outperformed the S&P 500 index over the same period by 300%. There are several categories of strategic acquisition that can produce some outstanding results:

1. ACQUIRE CUSTOMERS - this is almost always a factor in strategic acquisitions. Some companies buy another that is in the same business in a different geography. They get to integrate market presence, brand awareness, and market momentum.

2. OPERATING LEVERAGE - the major focus in this type of acquisition is to improve profit margins through higher utilization rates for plant and equipment. A manufacturer of cardboard containers that is operating at 65% of capacity buys a smaller similar manufacturer. The acquired company’s plant is sold, all but two machines are sold, the G&A staff are let go and the new customers are served more cost effectively.

3. CAPITALIZE ON A COMPANY STRENGTH - this is why Cisco and GE have been so successful with their acquisitions. They are so strong in so many areas, that the acquired company gets the benefit of many of those strengths. A very powerful business accelerator is to acquire a company that has a complementary product that is used by your installed customer base. Management depth and skill, production efficiency/ capacity, large base of installed accounts, developed sales and distribution channels, and brand recognition are examples of strengths that can power post acquisition performance.

4. COVER A WEAKNESS - This requires a good deal of objectivity from the acquiring company in recognizing and chinks in the corporate armor. Let me help you with some suggestions - 1. Customer concentration; 2. Product concentration; 3. Weak product pipeline; 4. Lack of management depth or technical expertise and 5. Great technology and products - poor sales and marketing.

5. BUY A LOW COST SUPPLIER - this integration strategy is typically aimed at improving profit margins rather than growing revenues. If your product is comprised of several manufactured components, one way to improve corporate profitability is to acquire one of those suppliers. You achieve greater control of overall costs, availability of supply, and greater value-add to your end product

6. IMPROVING OR COMPLETING A PRODUCT LINE - this approach has several elements from other acquisition strategies. Successfully adding new products to a line improves profitability and revenue growth. Giving a sales force more “arrows in their quiver” is a powerful growth strategy. You take advantage of your existing sales and distribution channel (strength). You may be able to improve your competitive position by simplifying the buying process - providing your customers one stop shopping.

7. TECHNOLOGY - BUILD OR BUY? This is a quandary for most companies, but is especially acute for technology companies. Acquiring technology through acquisition can be an excellent growth strategy. The R&D costs are generally lower for these smaller, agile, more narrowly focused companies than their larger, higher overhead acquirers. Time to market, window of opportunity, first mover advantage can have a huge impact on the ultimate success of a product. First one to establish their product as the “standard” is the big winner

8. ACQUISITION TO PROVIDE SCALE AND ACCESS TO CAPITAL MARKETS - In this area, bigger is better. Larger companies are considered safer investments. Larger companies command larger valuation multiples. Some companies make acquisitions in order to get big enough to attract public capital in the form of an IPO or investments from Private Equity Groups.

9. PROTECT AND EXPAND MATURE PRODUCT LINES - This has been very effectively done in the pharmaceutical sector where a new technology is acquired to repurpose and re patent drugs.

10. PROTECT CUSTOMER BASE FROM COMPETITION - The telephone companies have done studies that show that with each additional product or service that a customer uses, the likelihood of the customer defecting to a competitor drops exponentially. Get your customers to use local, long distance, cellular, cable, broadband, etc and you will not lose them. Multiple products and services provided to the same customer dramatically improve retention rates.

11. ACQUISITION TO REMOVE BARRIERS TO ENTRY - For example, a large commercial IT consulting firm acquires a technology consulting firm that specializes in the Federal Government. The larger IT consulting firm has valuable expertise that is easily transferable to government business if they could only break the code of the vendor approval process. After many fits and starts, they simply acquired a firm that had an established presence. They were able to then bring their full capabilities from the commercial side to effectively increase their newly acquired government business.

Many larger firms have established business development offices to execute corporate growth strategies through acquisition. These experienced buyers search for companies that fit their well-defined acquisition criteria. In most cases they are attempting to buy companies that are not actively for sale. The win for the successful corporate acquirer is to target several candidates, buy them at financial valuation multiples, integrate to strength and achieve strategic performance.

Inspiration from a Surprising New Discovery

May 28th, 2008 by Administrator

Inspiration for a better future lies in a secret experience from your past which will energize your present and clearly define your future.

You’ve been busy lately. You’ve sought for a new direction, because for the first time in your life you really want the years ahead to count. My hope for you is, as you read of my experience, you will be inspired to take a similar path and make your future years the most meaning-filled of your life.

In keeping with the biblical direction to “Ask and ye shall receive” I have recently given time to finding real meaning in my life, eventhough I should have completed this task years ago.

I’ve made an amazing discovery.

Your life, and mine, is filled with a series of what I have called Refining Moments. In the middle of these is one KRM or Key Refining Moment. When discovered this KRM brings a flood of understanding of the meaning for your life and enables you to release a special talent to be a blessing to others.

In my morning prayer time in the forest at the back of our home I had been asking the Lord, for some months, to reveal the meaning and purpose for my life. Once I was prepared to wait forever for an answer,it came. In a most unexpected way. Some have said that you should be careful what you pray because sooner or later you will get what you pray for. I did.

I was reminded of an experience I had just after my fourth birthday.

Filled with expectation my mother was taking me to the State Fair. A visit to the Animal Nursery was promised and once again I’m back there, getting off the tram, with a beaming smile, being led by the hand to the ticket office where my Mother purchases our tickets.

I can see the bulls in the main arena and the colored tents in sideshow alley. I hear the drums summoning patrons to new and exciting experiences inside the tents.

And now I see a group of kids. Some in wheelchairs. Some standing. But all with bodies twisting and twitching in ways I had never seen before. Noticing my rising alarm, my Mother tells me they are the special kids from the Spastic Center.

As she explains that they will always be that way I begin to sob. Buckets of tears cascade down my little pink cheeks as I think of their suffering. I fall to the ground sobbing even harder unable to control myself.

I feel a pain deep on the inside and I want to get away from this place. I plead with my Mother to take me home. It seems to take a long time but eventually she walks me back to the tram terminus.

As we begin the journey home one thought floods my mind.

I want to help make them better.

As I return, across 53 years of life experience, from my time of reflection on the past, I realize that my central desire is still to help make them better.

I havn’t done it yet but I want to. There is a fire in my desire.

I have been a bank teller, an economist, a teacher, and a youth worker but still I havn’t gotten started. I’m sad I’ve yet to start. I guess that’s a common experience for a babyboomer. However I am glad I discovered why I’m here on this planet.

In this Key Refining Moment I have understood my reason for being and the only action that will add real meaning to my life.

I have been inspired to fulfill my calling to “help make them better”.

You can have your own Key Refining Moment. In earnest prayer ask and you will receive. Once you’ve received make sure to follow through and complete your special calling.

You will get inspiration for a lifestyle improvement .Use your secret experience from your past and it will energize your present and clearly define your future with wave upon wave of meaning.

You will finally have an answer to the age-old question, “What is the meaning of life?”

your future years. True success will be yours no matter what
your age.

Stainless Steel Fasteners: The Right Choice

May 28th, 2008 by Administrator

There are so many reasons why a stainless steel fastener is the ideal choice. First, when choosing the best fastener, there are many aspects to consider - strength, utility, and durability, just to name a few. Also, one may have to consider the aesthetics of the material, depending on the project.

For these reasons, stainless steel is the best choice, because its inherent qualities are enviable when compared to almost any other material - and the fact that the material can be customized as an alloy to fit whatever special needs you may have.

For almost any construction project, it retains it strength, and will not rust, regardless of the environment it is in: submerged in water; in a zero-oxygen environment; or simply as a load bearing fastener on a construction site. It shines like a mirror and can be made magnetic when needed. All of these qualities can be changed depending on the amount of other metals added to the base. Perhaps most important of all, it will last for years to come because it will not rust out.

When a quality fastener is needed, no matter where it will end up,
stainless steel fastener will get the job done.

One Wrong Thought You MUST Eliminate From Your Golf Swing

May 27th, 2008 by Administrator

One Wrong Thought You MUST Eliminate From Your Golf Swing To
Avoid Sooo Much Trouble

You try your skills at golf and some (or all) of the following
results occur: * You miss the ball * You miss it again and again
and… * You hit the top of the ball * You correct this mistake
and you hit the ground behind the ball * You see people hitting
the ball in the air but your hits cause the ball to bounce along
the ground * Whoops! Where did that big curve in the flight of
the ball come from? * The more you try the more you find
yourself creating other poor results * You finally get a nice
hit but you have no idea what you did to get the good result *
You look around and some of your friends and relatives are
having the same problems as you * Grrrr! Why can’t I hit the
ball like those people on T.V.?

This is the second article in a series of articles which will
lead you to a simple method of putting, chipping, pitching, and
full swing skills.

The slice, duck hook, complete miss, topping the ball, hitting
fat (hit the ground behind the ball), and most of the other
undesirable results you have experienced or witnessed in other
golfers are caused by ONE incorrect thought.

Replace this thought and you will have much more success with
putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing.

However, this thought is buried deep in your subconscious mind.
It is very **logical** to our way of thinking.

To change your approach to your golf swing AND your putting you
will have to accept an illogical thought. But, when you make the
change you will begin executing some of the easiest swings of
the golf club you have ever made (and know why this happens.)

Five amazing results in ball flight will occur once you overcome
this wrong thought in favor of executing unusual, **illogical**
movements.

1.You will finally learn to make a divot like the Pros. 2. You
will lift the ball in the air. 3. You will hit the ball
straight. 4.You will hit the ball farther. 5.You will get a
lot more backspin on your ball.

This “wrong” thought causes movements of various parts of your
body in ways which ruin an easy golf swing. These incorrect
movements are visible in your hands, forearms, arms, body, hips,
and legs.

This thought triggers incorrect movements at various stages of
your swing sequence. Wrong body movements can begin as soon as
you start taking the club away from the ball until after the
ball has been hit.

But, if the ball is gone how can a wrong move affect the result.
Simply put, muscles which produce the wrong movement after the
ball has been hit have begun to “gather” or bunch-up before the
club reaches the ball. This initial bunching of muscles
interferes with your intended swing movements. You, or your golf
partners, are not aware that this has happened.

Most of my teaching lessons are geared to helping you change
from the wrong, logical thought to the correct, but illogical
thought. My lessons will teach you movements which respond to
the correct thought. My lessons will give you a process for
playing all golf shots with this correct thought in mind.

Since this wrong thought is logical it is buried in your
subconscious. The various views at golf courses, as you try to
hit the ball, cause this thought to be more involved in your
swing movements.

To toss out this thought from your mind and replace it with the
correct thought cannot be done by simply being aware of the
correct way of thinking. Even though I am aware of this error
the scenery of the golf course or the desire to make a precise
hit will cause this wrong thought to reappear to influence my
golf swing. I believe it can even affect the best golfers in the
world due to the pressures they face in golf tournaments.

What you will learn from this website is a step-by-step process
which will teach you movements in relation to developing a new
subconscious thought. This new thought will trigger the desired
movements you want in your effort to hit the golf ball where you
want it to go.

The next message in this series will show you a basic step-by-
step process of playing any golf swing or putt. I call it “the
phases of playing a golf shot”. You will learn to focus on a
task, change your focus to another task, focus on the next task,
and so on.

This routine will eliminate the feeling you might have of trying
to remember 20 or 30 things before you swing the golf club.

By following a regular process of playing a golf shot you will
soon develop a new subconscious thought so that you can rid
yourself of that one wrong thought.

Oh yeah. Before I forget. What is the **one wrong thought**? A
quick story, first.

A few years ago I witnessed a young woman take some golf lessons
from the local Pro over a 2 year period. He did a good job at
showing her some very good swing skills. But, I saw her
continually hitting the ball out the right and she could not hit
the ball as far as she was capable. At the beginning of the
third year she came for another lesson. I could see from her
hand movements that she was saying something like, “I’m still
hitting the ball out the right!”

She had a lot of good swing mechanics from the previous
instruction. I watched the teacher try to figure which of the
mechanics was breaking down. The problem was not solved. My
experience as a Grade 1 to 9 physical education teacher gave me
the background of body movements whereby I could see that there
was something else besides breakdowns in swing mechanics.

What was happening in that woman’s swing which caused her to hit
the ball slightly to the right despite very good swing skills?

Answer: The ball is at point A. The green, flag, and hole are at
point B. Logical, subconscious thought tells us that we want to
smack the ball from point A to point B. This same thought also
convinces us to create movements at some stage of our swing
which will cause a forward motion of the golf club through the
ball so that it can go from A to B.

But, these forward motions occur at various stages of our swing
which cause such a variety of poor results. Forgotten in this
thought process is the most important part of the swing.

And that is —- APPLY A BLOW TO THE BALL so that it can firstly
be put in motion to leave the vicinity of point A.

The coming lessons will teach you how to carry out movements
which respond to your new focus of making the ball move —
and move correctly. Prior to these lessons I will have more
articles which will prepare you to focus entirely on the
instructions.

P.S. There are a few “tips” roaming the world which leave wrong
ideas in the minds of new golfers. Some of these blatantly
interfere with good body movement. Future articles will show you
some of the wrong movements used by you or other golfers. You
will learn WHY each wrong movement is produced. You will
discover why and how to replace these wrong movements with
better moves.

P.P.S. You, or someone you know, will be very interested in how
body movement faults can cause back injuries. My methods
actually brought a man back into golf so he could golf with his
grandson. He felt so good about his new swing that he was able
to return to golf with his former golf buddies. I hope to do a
series of articles about this using the help of some people I
know who are in the physical health field.

P.P.P.S. I will seek your input about what resources and sources
you would like to learn about. Fellow subscribers will be able
to provide many of these answers. I will not publish them all in
this Website but I could compile a lot of them into a free ebook
or series of ebooks. Ideas will come for this and other
subscriber interests and needs for better and more enjoyable
golf experiences.

P.P.P.P.S. There are 2 or 3 lesser faulty thoughts for certain
golf situations such as hitting the golf ball over a hill or a
tree. Future articles will cover these topics.

Set up a user-friendly website that will appeal to customers and you have expanded the reach of your reputation. Keep it timely and informative, and people will continue to return to your site. If you don’t know how to set up a website there are plenty of web designers who do. Alternatively enquire at a college teaching web design. Some students might want to build a portfolio.

5 Keys To A Succesful Ezine

May 26th, 2008 by Administrator

5 Keys To A Successful Ezine
By Al Martinovic

There are 5 basic keys you need for your ezine to be successful and here they are though not necessarily in this order.

1- Hosting
You need good reliable hosting for your website. You don’t want to lose subscribers because your site is always down. Not only that… it’s unprofessional.

Why should someone listen to what you have to say in your ezine when you can’t even get the basics of having your website operational?

2- Autoresponders
You want to automate everything. An autoresponder will send a confirmation email when someone subscribes. It will handle removal requests and if it has a broadcast feature you can even send out your ezine through it.

You may need multiple autoresponders as you will find that there will be many things you want automated such as when you are offering a free report, or confirmation of an ad someone placed in your ezine… the list can go on and on.

3 - Tracking
You may want to track the ads you place when promoting your ezine to find out what ad(s) pull well for you and which don’t. You don’t want to be wasting your time on ads that don’t work. When you find an ad that pulls well… go all out on it.

4 - Products
As you start to grow your ezine and build a relationship with your subscribers you need to offer them products. After all… you are in this to make money.

You can create your own products around your list, get resale rights to an existing product to offer to your list or you can join an affiliate program.

Now, I admit… 1-4 can get pretty expensive especially if you are on a tight budget.

TIP #1: You can go here and get all of what I just mentioned in one package and it’s super cheap.

5 - Leads
Every ezine no matter how big or small needs no or low cost ways of attracting more subscribers.

You can advertise your ezine by submitting to ezine directories, announcement lists, by writing articles, or doing joint ventures such as ad swaps just to name a few. The problem is… all of this can become time consuming.

TIP #2: There is a software that will automate your entire submission process to everything I just mentioned.

TIP #3: There is a site that will bring you new subscribers for only 5 minutes of work.

There you have it. By no means is this a complete list but by getting the basics down and following the TIP’s I just mentioned, you are well on your way to a profitable ezine.
