Theatre shows have been the main type of entertainment in the globes biggest cities for years. Infact, some musical productions have been showing for over 20 years and still going strong. The prime theatre show that has to be brought up is Phantom, one of the most awesome musical shows to ever be launched. This wonderful show is the longest running theatre musical in theatre history and the highest earning of all time. The theatre show was created for the theatre stage by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and details the tale of a scarred French Chap who falls in love with a chorus singer. The excellent songs of the theatre musical are now world famous and the white face mask worn by the Phantom of the Opera is so distinct that it’s noticed in tons of fancy dress parties around the globe. The musical production was so popular that it was scripted into 20 separate languages and eventually shown across the world. Cats the musical was a real groundbreaker.

Now it’s time for the most memorable play with a French name of all time, Les Miserables or translated into English as The Miserables. The musical has been captivating audiences in London’s showbiz West End for beyond 21 years now and is the 2nd longest ever running musical show in London’s history. One of the most famed songs from the theatre musical is I Dreamed a Dream, and it was also sung by talent show runner up Susan Boyle. The show was nominated for 12 Tony awards and won eight of them, including greatest musical show.
