Here’s a delish new twist to classic lemonade that will help you beat the summer heat. This coconut lemonade recipe is a refreshing alternative to the classic that doesn’t give you a sugar high. In fact, coconut sugar is a low glycemic sweetener that adds a caramel color and sweetness to this favorite summertime drink developed by Truth Bar creator Diana Stobo. Plus, the added spice from the cloves gives the flavor profile a kick. Cloves also have proven anti-inflammatory properties that soothe digestion.
2½ cups water
½ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
¾ cups coconut palm sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Mint leaves (to garnish)
